My holiday

In the holidays on the 20th of April a Saturday morning me, Mali, Nova, Darby and Tanya took a 2 hour drive to Masterton to go and see the hot air balloon festival, we arrived in Masterton at 12pm and the festival started at 3pm so we had some time to go around and look.

Tanya stopped in a car park and all of us went looking around the shops and stopped for lunch. By the time we were all done it was almost 3pm so we headed off to the festival.
We arrived and there were food stalls everywhere and heaps of people were there, they called out on the speakerphone as we were entering there would be about 1,500 people coming that night so make room on the stadium.

We went to find Mali and Novas family and sat by them, a couple minutes passed and we walked around and got some food. at 7pm they were starting to lift off the balloons, but then the wind picked up and it was to strong for the balloons to lift.

In the end  they just did a fire show with the baskets, we all headed home and I stayed at their house.

revolution tour

Monday 27th of may, The Revolution Tour came to our school and performed a show about how you can make a change.
We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give. written by Winston churchal

One of my favourite parts were a story about 2 men that were very ill in one hospital room, one of the men was blind and he asked what was outside the room window everyday and he said every detail of how there was a beautiful pond and a playground with children playing on it, other day there were bikers getting their coffee on a slightly rainy day. one day the man who helped the blind man see got very ill and had to get sent to a different room, days go by and the lonely blind man is in his room until a nurse come in to check up on him and he asks the nurse can you tell me whats going on outside the window please and she replies "sorry i don't understand" he repeats himself again and she says "sir there is no window in this room".

We all realised that the man was making up everything that was going on outside, he made a small effort to make the blind mans day everyday.

We make a living by what we get but make a life by what we give.
